Styles of Yoga we offer:
*Baptiste Power Vinyasa
(Our most popular class) is an inspiring and perspiring all-levels power yoga practice that in the words of our teacher Baron Baptiste, “…transcends the mere physical and enters the dimensions of the entire human condition.”
A brilliant synthesis of different traditions of yoga. The multi-level flow allows for beginners, intermediate and advanced students to be challenged in the same class. The practice is energizing and flowing, suitable for all levels of students. Classes are 60-90 minutes and can be modified as the student sees fit. For optimum results the room temperature is between 85 and 90 degrees. This allows the muscles to relax bringing suppleness to soft tissue and perspiration for cleansing and removing the rubbish from the body.
The Baptiste Power Yoga method recognizes that life is an ongoing process of transformation. This powerful practice will heighten your awareness as individuals and transform you as you incorporate the teachings into your life.
*Yoga For Beginners
This 60-minute class is a gentle introduction to yoga postures, incorporating breath control with movement and focuses on alignment of correct postures. It is an all ages class and modification poses are offered according to fitness level. The class closes with relaxation/meditation. It is the perfect class to start or refresh your yoga journey.
Hatha Vinyasa Flow Yoga
Hatha Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga is an all levels practice with medium intensity and an emphasis on connecting the movements with the breath. This is a new addition to the Go Yoga Amelia Island roster of classes; Hatha Vinyasa yoga is the linking of movement with the breath in a continuous flow. The 60-75 minute classes are designed for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) to build strength, lose weight, gain flexibility, cultivate self-awareness, detox your organs and bring you to peaceful connection with life. Classes end with relaxation and brief meditation.
