Gianna is an experienced and dedicated Yoga teacher who is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga, physical, mental and spiritual. With an understanding that yoga is a lifetime journey, she is constantly updating her practice by regularly seeking advanced courses in various styles. She has practiced yoga for over 18 years and has taught for over 7 years. She came to yoga in 1995 because of a car accident which left her will limited range of neck movement and severe migraines. She attributes her regular practice of yoga to her healing. Apart from her regular certification she is certified in Yoga for Vets with PTSD. Gianna is a world traveler and has visited India, Tuscany, the Kripalu Institute, The Omega Institute and Tulum Mexico. She studied in Uruguay on various Yoga and Ayurvedia Retreats. She brings a global view on the practice of yoga. Her classes are energizing and unique, community building and spiritual. Gianna teaches multiple levels and styles of yoga but focuses mainly on Hatha Vinyasa which encompasses traditional yoga poses in a flowing movement. The style includes breath work, stretching, twisting, inversions and balancing poses, beginning and ending with a relaxing meditation all focused on bringing optimum health to the students.
Gianna joins us from Conneticut and is skilled in various styles of yoga including: Hatha Yoga, Chakra Clearing Yoga, Open Level Yoga, Yoga for Tennis Players, Yoga for Golfers, Workplace De-Stress Yoga, Tibetan Singing Bowl Sounds Therapy and Yoga for Veterans of War. Her certifications include RYT 300 through Yoga Alliance and Lotus Gardens. She has advanced credits from The Kripalu Institute and Advanced Teacher Training from the Omega Institute and she is certified in PTSD Yoga Therapy. In addition to her incredible life she is fluent in 4 lanugages, English, Spanish, French and Italian.
