Class & Event Descriptions

We now offer several styles of Yoga. We invite you to join us whether you are a Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced there is a class perfect for you.   

*Baptiste style Power Vinyasa, is a brilliant synthesis of different traditions of yoga, creating a dynamic mix of inspiration and perspiration. The multi-level flow allows for beginners, intermediate and advanced students to be challenged in the same class. The practice is energizing and flowing, suitable for intermediate levels of students. Classes are 90 minutes unless otherwise noted and can be modified as the student sees fit. The heated room allows the muscles to relax bringing suppleness to soft tissue and perspiration for cleansing and detoxifying the body. You will feel completely transformed from regular practice of Baptiste Power Yoga.

Hatha Vinyasa (Flow) Yoga is an all levels practice with medium intensity and an emphasis on connecting the movements with the breath.  This is a new addition to the Go Yoga Amelia Island roster of classes; Hatha Vinyasa yoga is the linking of movement with the breath in a continuous flow.  The 60-75 minute classes are designed for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) to build strength, lose weight, gain flexibility, cultivate self-awareness, detox your organs and bring you to peaceful connection with life. Classes end with relaxation and brief meditation.

*Candlelight Yoga; an evening practice that emphasizes connecting breath with movement, relaxing the body and mind and rejuvenating the spirit.  The peaceful atmosphere of this class allows the student to become more fully present and to connect with inner awareness.CANDLELIGHT YOGA 239x300 Class & Event Descriptions

*Gentle Hatha Yoga. This mixed-level class is open to students of all abilities. This class encompasses traditional yoga poses in a flowing movement. The style includes breath work, stretches, twists, inversions and balancing poses, beginning and ending with a relaxing meditation all focused on bringing optimum health to the participants.  The basis of this practice is to open the body, mind and spirit to one’s full potential of wellness. 

*Yoga Basics. This introduction to yoga class has an emphasis on flexibility, posture, alignment, spine strengthening, stretching, gentle twists and breath awareness. Ending the class in floor poses, relaxation and brief meditation to rejuvenate body, mind and spirit. The class is 60 or 75 minutes long to give the student time to ask questions and break down the poses with instructor feedback.

*Yoga For Beginners. This 60-minute class is a non-threatning introduction to yoga postures. It is a gentle class which incorporates breath with movement, stretching, twists and holding poses to feel the benefits deepening. It is an all-levels class and the student is encouraged to modify poses to their degree. The class closes with relaxation/meditation. It is the perfect class to start or refresh your energy and spirit.

Private Sessions

If you are new to yoga, we may want to consider a 60-minute private lesson to familiarize yourself with the language and postures of yoga. Private yoga sessions are personalized to suit your individual needs.  Single session $75.
